l used to suck my thumb when l was little, and my parents never made me stop because they thought it was ''cute''.

Anyway, do braces really hurt? l have heard so many stories.

If so, how bad and how long and when they are put on or what?
l had to stop sucking my thumb on my own.

Nah l had them 3rd to 6th grade. You're mouth is sore for a week or so when you get them, but it is not really anything that bad. You dont get cut or anything like that from the brackets.

on the first day u will feel slight pain then hours later it maybe slightly difficult to eat hard foods. every time they adjust your braces it will hurt for a week then the rest of the month is smooth sailing until it get adjusted again.

Every time l go to see the ortho, every 6 to 8 weeks, my teeth will throb for up to a week later. The only things that knocks it out for awhile is taking 3 ibuprofen tablets (and those only work for four hours)
The brackets & wires always cut my teeth, despite this stupid wax the ortho gives me to put on my brackets.
Wait a minute! The ortho never actually does anything other than look at the work that his techs have done. And the techs hurt me everytime l go in.
Most people wear their braces for four years; as for me, it is been since 2004 & l will probably have them on for another 3 years.

Braces suck. If u can avoid it, do not get them.
