because my teeth are kinda bad. l need braces and l need to get them whitened. l am 15 right now & im being put on a NHS waiting list [im in the UK] so ill get braces when im 17 or 18 hopefully. l do not wanna be a dental assistant with braces and l do not want the patients laughing at me. l am so SICK of this! Should l get braces privately instead?

get ur teeth taken care of either way but it is not a big deal if u have braces during job just shows that your taking care of ur teeth

No, god if you think about it, this is good. Because the patients can ask you if it hurts and stuff.

l think it is a good thing that u have this dream & these challenges. Once u go through the experience of the training as well as having ur own teeth fixed, u will be uniquely qualified to help others through the system & counsel them on what to expect.

Since u r only 15, u still have time to complete ur training & get ur teeth worked on.

Keep talking to others in the field as u navigate ur way through the system about their job & what a new trainee should know!

NO THERE'S nothing wrong with having braces n working as a dental assaitant! Patients are going to ask u all kind of question regarding your teeth.and if u work in a dental office that has benefits you should be able to have employee discounts for you so its a positive for u.

My dentist is assistant has braces. It is normal.

There is nothing wrong with being a dental assistant with braces. Like the others said it shows that you're looking after your teeth, l work with some assistants that have rank looking teeth.
