the film becomes clear as the fixer removes all the unexposed silver halides on the radiograph. If it is in there for not enought time these unexposed areas will not be removed and results in a 'dark' image.

The image will disappear, as it was not properly ''fixed''. l have not worked with a hand dip in so long, l have forgotten how long is enough.we use digital imaging at the office l work at now,so no film or dip tanks!
