l got braces about 9 hours ago. when l go to sleep at night, then wake up in the morning, is it gonna hurt really badly?

It does hurt. Your mouth is very sore. l would take a few aspirin or something. It is like that the first few days, then it will get better.

It really depends on the person .
Mine did hurt but it hurts for a couple of days . Like you feel pressure on your teeth . If it starts cutting the inside of your mouth or getting blisters, put wax on your teeth (the one the dr. gave you)

see; when l got mine,
they hurt about 2 hours later
and they didnt hurt when l would put pressure on them, but if l took the pressure off,
itd hurt
so while l slept, l either didnt let anything tuoch them
or l slept on my face [lol]

but it kinda all depends on how u sleep
but it most likely will hurt
not from sleeping,
but from them moving for the whole 8 hours u ahevnt used them, while sleeping
so when u wake up, just take some advil before the real pain kicks in

it may hurt but you never really know. Mine started hurting after about 2 hours. If they do hurt, just remeber what ur teeth are gunna look like once the pain is over =] lol thats what l did

Everyone experiences braces differently. For the 1st few days they will ache and some times may be worse than others, but the chances are if they are not hurting bad now, they wo not hurt bad tomorrow. Just be careful not to lay on your mouth in your sleep.

yes just floss and take advil it will hurt for about 2 days depending on how well you can take pain

How much discomfort u feel really depends on ur own tolerance. If u were really sore from the separators (aka spacers) u will probably be really sore from the braces.

Eat a soft diet (soup, yogurt, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, etc) & if it is really bad take advil or tylenol.

You will probably get some sores in ur mouth from the friction of ur lips/cheeks rubbing the braces - rinse with warm salt water as many times a day as u need. This will simply soothe the sore spots. Then use the wax ur ortho gave you.

All of these issues r temporary. All will go away. All will lessen as time goes on.
