l was wondering how much a specially made TMJ mouth guard from a dentist would cost on average. Any one recently get one and remember the price?

Mine cost $300 dollars. l have heard of a couple different -- less expensive ways to get around this.

At the drug store they sell these types of bite splints. You either need to run it under warm/hot water or microwave the splint.
After it cools a bit, u must insert it in ur mouth to 'mold' it to ur teeth--while the splint is still warm & pliable.

The other option is to go to a sporting-goods store. They sell mouth-guards for football players. You can cut off the pull that the football players use to remove the guard and/or hang from their helmets.the same theory is at work.although l think u might have to drop that one in boiling water..they all need to be 'warmed' so that u can 'mold' them to ur teeth.

Believe me, after u wear this wonderful splint at night when u sleep.you will wonder how u ever got along without it. no more headaches when u wake up.
