Ok,so,I've had my braces off for about 5 months now and l JUST lost my retainer yesterday.
l use to only wear my retainer at night and every once in awhile during the day,and my teeth are still as straight as before
i cant see my orthodontist because shes 9 hours away (shes where l use to live)
Do you think my teeth will still be okay?Ill still be looking for them,but just in case l dont find them...what do you think?

l lost my retainer about 2 years ago, im in 10th grade and l got my braces off in 7th. trust me, you need a new one. my teeth have shifted ALOT and l regret not going to the ortho. it suckkks.

I've had braces as well, but never did liked wearing a retainer. From the time that l had my braces removed, l do not wear retainers and my teeth were still perfectly straight.

Yeah l went a month without my retainer in and aside from it being tight fitting for a few days after l found it, it was fine. If you had your wisdom teeth removed your teeth wo not move at all.

You could probably go to an orthodontist closer to your home and just ask them to get you a new one.

You can go to a local ortho and ask them to get you new retainers. All they have to do is take new molds and order them for you. It is a simple process, and it is so worht it. If you stop wearing them your teeth are going to return to how they were before braces, and that would not be fun. l would reccomend getting new ones and wearing them every night. Good luck :)

You need to get another one. l lost mine for two months (after l had them off for two years) and can not even fit it on now my teeth has move so much.

Yes u will need a need retainer. The effect of loosing retainers will come in some days. In some cases the teeth may move back in 7-10 days & in some cases it may take a month. Retainers afer braces r required to be put for at least one year. First 6 months day & night & after 6 months at night only. So donot waste time & get ur self new ones otherwise the whole thing can go haywire. In case ur dentist lives far away then u can go to new dentist & retainers r fairly simple & does not need Orthodontist as even general dentist can do that. l had braces myself and when l got them taken off l did not like the way the retainer made me talk, so l opted not to where it. l thought the same way as you. l will be fine. l mostly was but my teeth did separate a lil on the bottom. So yes, l think it is important to atleast wear your retainer some of the time.

you need to go get a replacement. l had braces twice and now my bottom front teeth are crooked. l hate the way they look but l cant afford to pay to get them fixed
