Does anyone know waht being a dental hygenist involves on a day to day basis?

i know they help ppl take care of their teeth and hygene but is it a fun occupation?? or is it boring??

waht are your colleagues like? ppl in the profession?

and is the money really that good?

i am thinkig of doing this occupation by first becoming a dental nurse and then studying.

A Hygienist cleans teeth all day every day. It sounds boring.but it is really not. Every patient is different & u get to talk to them so it is not bad.

Seems like a fun job to me. l used to work in a dental office as a dental assistant. l would help the hygienest sometimes. At times, l felt like l wanted to do her job. :)

Colleagues r different at every facility. So it is just the luck of the draw.

The money is good. In a larger city, u could make $40,000/yr.

The occupation you're thinking of is not dental nurse; it is dental assistant.
