For about three years now l have had this strange problem with my tongue. The little filiform papillae fall off in patches. l do not have any other symptoms except for that.

They move around all over my tongue. l just recently read that it could be a B vitamin deficiency so l started using supplements.

l was wondering if anyone else has had or heard of this happening at all.

A B12 deficiency can cause ur tongue to 'swell'. Best bet is sublingual B12 - swallowing pills may not help you.

But u will want to follow up with a simple blood test for B12. A deficiency can strike so many parts of ur body it is scary. Google it & see.

l get monthly shots, plus l do use the sublingual pills on & off. Life is so much better - u probably have other symptoms & do not realize it. If u DO have it, l strongly recommend the book ''Can it be B-12?''
