yes dental treatment is covered on the NHS, in regards to eye treatment anyone can recieve an eye test from their local GP but surgery will have to be paid for.

l work for an NHS dental surgery and no you do not get free treatment if you're a pensioner unless you get a pension credit/top up.
l do not know about eye tests.

Dental treatment l do know. It has just cost me £270 because l do not get what is called guaranteed Pension credit.
This is a bit tricky to explain, l do get Pension credit but it is pension savings credit, because l saved a bit l get the credit as l have saved some money & collect interest on that money, (a sort of reward from the government) previously this was just classed as pension credit & l was entitled to all this free stuff.
It was changed recently l have to pay for all my treatment NHS prices or even more.
It is very difficult to find a NHS dentist because the government have to 'grant' them a contract , so they go private, they can charge whatever the feel like charging! And they do.
l assume the eye test thing will be along the same lines.

Over the age of 60 eye tests are free, but the specs aren't.
