i'm getting braces put on about 10.00 on a school day. if its for the orthodontist, for my school you have to tell them whether you're having the morning off or the full day. which should l say?

l think you should say you wil be off for the full day becuase it will take a while for you to talk properly and you will slur your words at first and it will be quite painful the first few days, so l think you should take the whole day off :).

And just drink water alot before you go.
Try not to eat anything major when you first get them, until you get home.
You will be fine :)
if they start to ache, suck on your teeth haha!
Sounds silly, but it takes the pain away, although you shouldnt feel much pain.
Even rub your braces!

NO! dont you want to show off your new teeth?!?! It dosnt hurt at all to why would you miss school?? Unless you have like a test that day.

You can, you will be kind of uncomfortable and sore after.. And it will take a while by the time you are done you will only have a few hours left anyhow..

l took the day off when l got mine in because my mum let me.
it depends on your mum/dad.

l think you should. That way YOU can get used to them. It may make you more comfortable if you are nervous about what others might think.

full day for sure l was having trouble eating anything solid when l first got mine put in and its takes a day to get used to them l dont think u will miss much its only 1 day

Take the day off. They hurt and are really uncomfortable and most likely you can not concentrate.

I'd take the whole day off if l had the choice. LOL. Besides, it will give you a bit more time to get used to doing things with your braces on, and if you have any problems you will be at home.

l have had braces 4 nearly a year now.. and l think you should go back to school after as your teeth wont really hurt for a few hours after you got the braces on ...it also takes your mind of any pain that you do get. and you could take pain killers before you go back to school oh yh and it should effect your speach to much just the odd word good luck x
