l had it out at about 4 pm yesterday afternoon and had a poor nights sleep because of discomfort does anyone got any tips or hints to help me soothe the pain and get some sleep !!!

do not put pressure on it. drink milk. warm milk. it helps you fall asleep and eases the pain.

Take something for the pain like Tylenol or Advil. If the discomfort continues, please call the dentist as you may have lost the blood clot in the gum resulting in dry socket (ouchie!).

Your dentist/surgeon should have given u painkillers. If not, take Motrin, which is an anti-inflammatory as well as a painkiller.

In addition, use ice packs on the area, 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off.

Do not drink acidic drinks such as orange juice. Do not use straws, which can disturb the blood clot in the socket, leading to extremely painful dry socket.

Sleeping poorly for a couple of nights is to be expected. If it continues, do contact ur dentist/surgeon.

Had my front tooth pulled. It was sore. Very sore. Whiskey. Sleep then followed. Groovy.
l also convinced myself whiskey would act as a disinfectant to kill the germs . unsure if this is true.

Neurofen should also do the trick though.
