We just got a 3-4 month old puppy and all his teeth are healthy and coming in fine except (upper canine) which is brown and broken on the end. Its making his mouth swollen. We cant take him to the vet this month because we have already spent over $300 getting him to the vet. He had worms and was very malnurished. l didnt know if anyone could help me on how to pull it or ahome remedy to soothe his pain until next month whn we can take him in again. My dad used to put a string, looped around my tooth, tie the other end to the doorknob, and slam the door. Usually we tried to wiggle it some to get it loose first.
Try ora jel or another temporary over the counter tooth pain reducing local jel .

Chances r u will be bitten attempting to do this. And the tooth might break apart under the gum. You should really just wait until u have the money. This is not really an amateur undertaking. If u have a relationship with the vet he might bill you.

EDIT: It is ok to give a dog baby aspirin for pain. l had a cocker (25 lbs) & the dosage was 1 pill every 4 hours. Be careful if ur pup is tiny. NEVER give aspirin to a cat. Hope ur baby gets better. I've been worried about y'all since yesterday. Let us know what happens when u award best answer.

do u have a PAWS or humane society nearby? call & ask if they have any funding for emergency services. Often they have anonymous benefactors that donate. Sometimes u have to agree to get the puppy fixed at the same time.
My cat got in a fight & (how do l say this gently.?) lost one of ''the boys''. Paws paid for most (we had to promise to pay $50) & he got fixed at the same time. Usually they will send u to a particular vet because that vet will charge the minimum to the benefactor.
For pain: l do not know how healthy it is but my Cocker spaniel puppy got into a tube of oregel. Did not seem to hurt her a bit & she was drooooooooooooling all over the place. Came up to lick us & we could not figure out what was wrong until l went in the bathroom & say the chewed up tube!
