Usually you will major in one of the life sciences or chemistry
You will go to college for eight years- that includes dental school
You are jumping ahead, get accepted at undergrad, then starting looking at dental schools your junior year of college.
Why does it matter, you are in the field to help people, not worry about a salary. In case you are wondering its a six digit salary

1. However, u will have to specialize for 1 to 3 years (depending on the program requirement) after graduating from the dental school to become a pediatric dentist.

2. When u graduate from a dental school, u become a general dentist with basic knowledge about almost everything.

3. You need to focus on a specific field to learn the ins & outs of the trade.

4. That is why u have to do the specialization.

5. A 1 to 2 year program gives u certification to be able to get licensed to practice as a pediatric dentist.

6. The 3 year (in some cases the 2 year) program also allows u to earn a Masters Degree.

3. if you mean best dental colleges, then there is not ONE that stands out. Any certified dental school will teach you just fine
