For 5 days, I've felt this sharp pain every time l swallow. The pain is located in the back of my mouth on the top right. l think it is called the soft palette.l also feel some pain deep in my gum when l smile.When l do not swallow or do anything, l feel nothing... And when l yawn, it brings temporary relief to the pain if l swallow or eat.

Then 3 days later l got a sore throat and my all my teeth felt achey.Do you think the pain l feel when l swallow has to do something with this cold l got, or is it most likely a tooth or gum infection problem?
Also, that area of my mouth is not sensitive to physical touch.l can touch it all l like and it does not hurt due to that.

Please run your tongue around your gumline, and across your teeth real slow~ do you feel holes in your teeth, or bumps on your gumline? If not, l would still schedule an appointment with your dentist..but for now, get an 8 ounce glass, fill it with warm water, and shake in a little salt. Stir it well, and gargle well, then spit it out..it may be an aggrivating infection lodged near your tonsils..
