l have to have one of my old fillings redone, ans l am absolutely terrified! They said that they could give me the gas to make me less nervous, but l need someones opinion on how it works. Thanks.

It works great. It relaxes you completely. As long as they numb you up properly you will not care what they do or how long it takes.

The problem is you can not quit laughing and they can not do their work, mouth open/mouth closed/mouth open/mouth laughing. See the picture?

Try 300mg of 5HTP, available at your health food store, divided in 100mg doses right before appt. If you're a minor, lower dosage try only 50mg. Totally relax me l was so chill the dentist thought l was on something you'd buy in a back alley, had to show him the bottle, LOL!

Basically laughing gas elevates your pain threshold and relaxes you so that the entire situation becomes less frightening and much more tolerable .Nevertheless since a man has 32 teeth and you probably will need to meet your Dentist occasionally you must ask yourself if this is going to be the pattern of how you are going to deal with the situation? just something to think about.GOOD LUCK.Dr,KEREN

l had laughing gas given to me at the dentist office when l was like 14. l was so freakin high l actually grabbed my dentist is hand while he was drilling my tooth. when he said what r u doing u can ruin ur mouth, l basically cursed him out. it was because l was like really stoned with the laughing gas. honestly novacaine is all u need, l just got a molar removed with just novacaine. & it had to be broken into several pieces first with a drill. ive also had root canal with just novacaine so a filling thats not gonna be that bad. u could do it. good luck .
