Hi all,
l have a tooth abscess that had been treated over a year ago and has now started to come back, l think it is because l have a bad cold/ virus / infection and my sinuses may have triggered it. l have started antibiotics for the cold and wanted to know if they will assist the abscess infection until l can get to my dentist. Or if l need to get something else from my doctor for the abscess infection as I will see him tomorrow.
The antibiotics I am on are Clamoxyl Duo Forte 875/125 - Amoxycillin and Potassium Clavulanate tablets.

It is an infection l guess that has moved from my head to my chest.

Why are you taking abx for a cold? They have no effect on viruses.
