l have one right now because l got my braces tightened this morning! So l am with u & this is what l am doing: taking OTC medicine (aspirin) & trying not to talk a lot. l am drinking cool, not cold, liquids, & eating softer foods for today & probably through tomorrow.
l got a new wire on top, a full powerchain on bottom, 2 partial powerchains on top, & a new elastic arrangment. My teeth ache!
Hang in there & just take advil or tynelol every 4-6 hours or try aspirin if u r over 18.

take ibuprofen.. sos.. but dont make a habit of it.. coz it may interfere with bone remodelling and may slow down the tooth movement..the pain generally does not last more than a day.. so try to bear with it.. sleep or listen to ur favourite music etc..
