My husband need a root canal We have insurance but it only covers 1000 per year. how much will a root canal cause on average? Or would it be cheaper just to have him get it pulled? Anywould be appreciated thanks.

It is always cheaper to extract. However, it seldom is the best procedure.
Dentists charge by the number of canals per tooth. A molar could cost a thousand dollars. Things are cheaper in your part of the prairie. Consult with your dentist so you can make an informed decision. Remember, he will not get a new tooth to replace the one that is extracted.

FYI,
every tooth with a root canal must also have a crown. Expect the entire cost to be around $1,500 USD, CONSERVATIVELY.
If finances are the issue, especially in this economy, consider extraction.
