Someone told my sister ''the rest of her life'' This does not sound right.

l am pretty sure ''the rest of her life'' means just at night time for the rest of her life. l think otherwise her teeth will just move back to how they were. Hope l helped! :D

honestly, l only wore it a couple days before l had to go to the ortho. my teeth are fine, except one shifted tooth but thats ok.

acutally for best results, that would be what ud hafta do. ur teeth continue to shift after u get the braces off so as long as ur wearing ur retainer, ur teeth will remain straight.

i'm actually at that stage right now too. l guess it varies from person to person, but usually they have to wear the retainer for a year. [24/7] from there, you just wear it at night.

Hello.''Retainers'' r ''Forever''..their name say is it all, they r designed to ''RETAIN'' the teeth in the position the braces moved them into..You will need to wear the retainer between five & ten hours per day from now on...If u fail to wear it as required the teeth will begin to move back to their original position..Inside the bone socket there r tiny little ligaments that attach between the side of the tooth & the wall of the socket.During the movement of the teeth by the braces, those little ligaments got stretched & twisted & they will always want to return to their original position. If u fail to wear the Retainer they will return.Good luck & l wish u well.

Every night for the rest of your life, if you stop wearing it, your teeth will shift and be crooked again. Trust me, l learned the hard way. Wearing it everynight should not be a problem, no one will see it, no one will know, but they will see and know if you stop wearing it!
