Both of my parents, who are now dead, ate same foods, were pure or none teeth brushers, yet my father never had one rotten tooth, and never had tooth ache, while my mother had lot of them, and constant tooth aches, and now it seems that l have inherited from my mothers side, weaknes of teeth to succumb easily to carries-tooth rot...so is this teeth weaknes inherent?

That is one good question. l am assuming that is probably genetic when it comes to ''bad teeth''. What is interesting enough, my oldest son has his father teeth which he would need braces next year; my youngest boy got my teeth so perfectly aligned and a lot brighter smile. :)

l would say to a degree healthy teeth are inherited. However, the better care you take of your teeth the better odds you will have healthy teeth, no matter what heredity is.

As long as you had access to fluoride water or treatments when you were a child, brush twice a day, floss once a day, and use mouth wash when needed, and see your dentist every 6 months, then you should be find. ''Bad teeth'' are not inherited whereas ''bad hygiene practices'' are. You would be surprised how many people think flossing is not necessary.
