l got a mean toothache, and my cheek is terribly swollen. Till l go to the dentist is it better to put something cold or warm on my cheek?

I'd try an ice pack first. It should help to numb the area. If it does not work, try to warm compress- everybody is different, so that may work for you. Also take some ibuprofen to reduce the pain and inflammation. Do not take aspirin; it will thin your blood too much.
Get to the dentist and l am sure you will feel better soon.

l advise you to use cold compress. Cold compress is beneficial for toothache as they help numb the blood vessels and reduce pain. Do not use warm compress as they dilate the blood vessels increasing blood flow to the area thus resulting to more pain. And it may worsen the infection.
