l went to clean my teeth. When dentist checked them he found new cavity (just start). l went to see dentist the next time to fill that cavity. After getting home and waiting as my dentist said, l ate dinner when l were chewing my food that tooth hurt.
So, l went to see the dentist again. He grinded that tooth down and the good tooth below (no cavity). The dentist said that it might still hurt for about 2 weeks And if the tooth was sensitive , be might have to chew my food on the other side.
After 2 weeks l tried to chew my food on the side having that cavity, but it still hurt. l had to see the dentist a fix second . Dentist grinded it down again. He said the same thing as the last time and take more time for sensitive tooth.
l do not know what is wrong with my tooth. it just had a small cavity with no pain, no ache, no sensitive, no hurt and now it hurts when chewing and eating or drinking something hot or cold. It is over 3 months.
What is wrong with my tooth?
How long that sensitive will go away?

It was filling with white color. The first time l thought maybe that filling too high when l were chewing my food that tooth hurt. The dentist grinded it down the first time then l came back a second time and he grinded it again, that tooth still hurt and started feeling hot and cold. Do you think maybe this time he grinded it a little bit too much or maybe he drilled the hole a little bit too deep or close to the nerve that made it hurt and sensitive?
l think he had no right to grind down the good tooth below.

Not sure what kind of filling u got, the metal type or tooth color type. l am going to assume it is tooth colored. Those fillings shrink when the dentist sets them. Often people get tooth sensitivity after they r placed. The dentist usually tries to place them in multiple layers to minimize this.

You can also get sensitivity by this combined with the filling being close to the pulp. Dentists often lay down a base or liner when they get near the pulp before placing the filling. This may have not been put down because the dentist did not think u were a situation that needed it. Or even if it was put down, it does not always get rid of the pain.

Although not highly unusual, 3 months is a pretty long time. Hope the pain goes away for u soon. There is one product on the market I'd recommend. It is called M l Paste. It is a newer product that is used primarily for remineralizing teeth to prevent cavities. It also helps against tooth sensitivity. Not sure if it will help in ur case but it is good stuff to be using regardless.
