Ok, l need one more filling. The last one hurt SO much, the needle was too long and pointy and hurt alot. l know l have to get this done, but what was you experience at the dentist. After l had the injection in my mouth, l felt faint, dizzy. While waiting for my tooth to feel numb, Should get a scrap and polish done? does this hurt.

l do not know anyone who likes the dentist.
See if your dentist offers Nitrous Oxide while he is working
on you -- that is laughing gas.
They may not offer it to adults unless you ask..
My sister is 46, and she gets it every time she has
to go.
My son was refusing to go, until they started using this
on him.Now, he does not mind.

Of course u do not HAVE to get the filling done. You can wait until the tooth hurts & have a more involved procedure done or,possibly lose the tooth.
l know that dental work is no ones idea of a good time, but, in the big picture, there r far worse things that can happen to you. Talk with ur dentist about ur fears. Maybe u can have Nitrous,or some other sedative to help get u through the procedure. The feeling u get from the anesthetic is most likely due to the Epinephrine in the anesthetic. They can give u one that does not have this in it.
Please, talk this over with ur dentist. There r many things that can be done to increase ur comfort level. but,if ur doc does not know,she/he cannot help you!! Good luck!
